power/abilities. pain manipulation, can dial this all the way back to a low hum which sets off a person's natural, instinctive aversion to something 'unwanted'; or all the way to 11 causing death. single victim or multiple, so long as his target is within visual range. contact isn't necessary, but victor can put on that kind of affectation if it means helping the person trust him. doesn't work as well if the person can inhabit a second body or has a shield of sorts, but victor isn't above pushing himself until he finds a break in the other's defenses, sometimes to his detriment, if only to prove he can resolve a problem. he has a lot of pride in what he can do as an EO.
whenever possible, victor prefers shooting to kill. EOs like him are hunted and viewed with suspicion back in his world; having supernatural powers actually made his life worse, not better. victor prefers to hide his abilities, and where conflict occurs, he will most often use a gun, or at least turn others away instinctively from him so he can exit the situation. it's not that he doesn't like conflict, it's just that he has a goal. he's very efficient about achieving everything else in his life, except when the matter involves Eli Ever.

victor's approach to social circles are more out of practical utility in service of his goal, and it takes him a while to prioritize someone's safety and security without believing them to be a vulnerability he has to mitigate. (this is what passes as camaraderie for him.) he can be cruel, he's not nice, but he's not unkind either.

EOs (ExtraOrdinary) are a category of humans with varying special abilities. An EO is made after a traumatic experience that resulted in their death. EOs result from the body's physiological and psychological response to a sudden, traumatic death and resurrection. The transformation into an EO requires a huge influx of adrenaline, fear, and willpower to continue living. The ability that the EO gains after they come back to life is tied to their last thoughts before they died.
